Don’t go to Vancouver
Parker Street is lovely with old Avenue trees and vintage houses reminding me of the Richmond District in San Francisco. The vibe on Commercial Drive is great in the evening and there is a wonderful variety of cuisine on offer including a great Indian, a wonderful oyster and seafood bar, Vietnamese, Ethiopian and vegetarian all in a traditionally Italian neighbourhood with pizza and pasta galore. At 1842 the linen was superb, the pillows so comfy, the bath so welcome, the hosts very friendly, Netflix a bonus, great coffee although the breakfast blend far surpassed the French and Colombian and a great veranda to sit and sip your wine in the evening.
